North Cregg
Since its formation in 1996, NORTH CREGG has established itself as one of Ireland's best traditional music groups producing some of the freshest and finest sounds to be heard in Irish Music. Rooted in the vibrant traditional music of their native County Cork, North Cregg embraces musical influences from around the world to create a distinctive and charismatic sound.

The stunning vocals of Claire Anne Lynch mesmerise with beautifully crafted interpretations of contemporary and traditional Irish gems. Accordionist and Master of Ceremonies, Christy Leahy, leads the way with spirited tunes alongside the dazzling fiddle and banjo playing of Liam Flanagan. Groove masters Ciarán Coughlan on swing piano and Martin Leahy, on drums and guitar, create one of the tightest and hottest rhythm sections around.
Together, the North Cregg experience is a finely tuned engine, packed with humour, spontaneity and, above all, great music. With past appearances at prestigious Music Festivals including Glastonbury, Milwaukee, Tønder, Cambridge Festival, Celtic Connections Glasgow and many more, North Cregg are one of the Irish Music’s most popular live acts, exhilarating and enthralling audiences across the globe.
The band has produced four critically-acclaimed and award-winning albums, their first aptly named ‘...and they danced all night’ released in 1999. The Creggies released their fourth and most successful album to date, “The Roseland Barndance”, in 2007 on the Greentrax label.
